Founders Lane is a vibrant urban precinct that has completely transformed the space between Canberra’s city centre and the inner suburb of Braddon, adding inherent value to the urban landscape.
At Founders Lane, the architectural and landscape design draws inspiration from Braddon’s garden city legacy, integrating elements of heritage, contemporary urban life and nature. Employing the highest standards of design, it’s a precinct that will stand the test of time for the benefit and enjoyment of Canberra locals and visitors for many years to come.
The precinct comprises four residential apartment buildings: The Mark, Provenance, Dawn and SOL. The buildings are linked by a series of central courtyards with architecturally designed park seating and bicycle parking. These pedestrian friendly green spaces optimise the natural amenity of existing mature trees.
At street level, shops and cafés add to the lively community atmosphere and provide useful amenities within the precinct. The Founders Lane vision is to create a vibrant and eclectic precinct with a blend of apartment living, quiet cafés, quirky pop-ups and community green spaces on the city’s doorstep.
